The City Federal building in downtown Birmingham, Alabama was built in 1913 and, at 27 stories, was the tallest building in the city until 1972. This contemporary image shows it as it looks in the 21st century, having been refurbished and the neon lettering restored in 2005. The evening setting highlights the words "City Federal" and reflects the new nostalgia for more ornate architecture that was revived by post-modernism. Signed and dated on back. Free shipping.
